Very rare and very fine quality French mahogany and brass inlaid kneehole desk in superb condition, very elegant and stylish piece indeed! Circa 1880 and most likely a Paris maker
This is a free standing desk being finished on both sides, though drawers to just the one side as shown, it is a neat size though certainly useable as a laptop desk!
Good height for the kneehole at 23''
Further dimensions are 28'' high x 45.5'' wide x 25.5'' deep being this size, it can be a stand alone piece to admire but also work well as a sofa table perhaps
The leather top is lovely although sun bleached as you can see, gilded embossed triple panel, the drawers all run well and have locks, oak lined and dove tailed joints as you would expect...really is a super piece, ready to go
