Description

This is a heavy solid brass corinthian column table lamp and silk shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey TV series lampshades.

The base was made by Christopher Wray, London when they were making traditional lighting and is of very good quality, as would be expected. It has a stepped, reeded base, reeded column and ornate capital.

The shade is in the 'Vienna' style and is made of burgundy silk, with 6 inch vanilla fringe, gold and ruby beads and is finished with a ruby and vanilla braid.

The lamp has been rewired with antique gold silk covered flex and has a new plug and fittings. As with all electrical items it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Height to top of shade: 32" - 81.25cm

Base: 6 1/2" - 16.5cm square

Diameter of shade: 16 1/2" - 41.9cm

Condition: Excellent. The shade is new.
