We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely oil on canvas by the artist Walter Robin Jennings, who has signed the painting in the lower left hand corner, dated it 1979 and entitled it verso 'Morning Mirror'. The painting is a masterful depiction of reflections and shows the sky and trees, in autumnal leaf, reflected in the Stokenbridge Pool, which is located near Churchill, Worcestershire. The location is on a label on the reverse of the painting.

Walter Robin Jennings 1927-2005 was born in Dudley, Staffordshire and was an active artist throughout most of his working life. He was a landscape and animal painter, primarily in oil and exhibited widely. His work has been reproduced in card form by Medici, Royle and Solomon & Whitehead. He sadly died in Kiderminster in 2005.

There is one of his paintings in the National Collection and can be viewed at Dudley Museum.

Condition Excellent. There are no repairs to the canvas, which is clean and taut. There is no paint loss, craquelure or stretcher marks. The frame is in very good condition.
