We are offering for sale this Victorian Ormolu Cherub Table Lamp and Crewel Work Shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge etc. lampshades.

The base is an ormolu cherub standing on a flower petalled base, on an ebonised, pierced and carved stand. The cherub is holding the stem of another flower, from which issued a column terminating in a double foliate finial.

The 'Ballerina' style lampshade is in cream silk with crewel work embroidery in tones of rose and duck egg. It has a cream fringe with duck egg beads on the points and is finished with a cream, rose and duck egg braid.

The wiring is modern, with gold flex and an online switch, as well as the on/off switch on the lampholder and has a modern plug. It is recommended that all electrical items be checked by an electrician before use.

Diameter of shade: 13" - 33cm

Diameter of base: 7 1/4" - 18.4cm

Condition: Very good. The shade is new.
