Description

We are offering this pair of elegant, tall, late Victorian ceramic Table Lamps with bespoke shades created by the company that manufactures them for the Downton Abbey series. The lamps have a cream body, with different shaped hand painted scenic panels of young girls in a landscape setting, and gilt floral and foliate overlay in the style of Royal Worcester. They have a tall flared split neck in burgundy with gilt overlay and a similarly decorated burgundy base, resting on a circular ornate brass base. There are twin, very striking scroll handles on either side of the flared neck.

The shades are arched on four sides so as to frame the neck and handles of the base. They are in panels of cream and gold brocade, with cream braiding and cream fringe, overlaid with clear and gold beaded fringe around the corners. They are fully lined.

The lamps have been rewired with gold fabric covered flex and have new plugs and lampholders, although it is recommended that they be checked by a certified electrician prior to use.
