She went to school in Brighton, studied at Brighton School of Art and under Sir Hubert Herkomer at his school in Bushey, Hertfordshire. She didn't marry and in the 1911 Census, was recorded still living with her parents at the Crown Inn and working as an artist, living on her own means. She died in Uckfield, Sussex in 1942.
