We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pastel portrait by an unknown artist. The bust length portrait is of a very pretty young girl of about ten or eleven years of age who has long light brown wavy hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a dark turquoise dress, with a gathered yoke and a large lace collar with v-shaped pointed edges.

Unfortunately, the pastel is by an unknown artist as there is no signature or any information on the back about him or her. This is a great shame, as the pastel has been executed exceedingly well and the subject looks almost alive.

The pastel is in its original gilt slip and glass and has been newly framed in a 2 7/8" ornate gilt frame, which suits it very well. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
