We are offering for sale this lovely sunset oil painting on board which is, unfortunately, unsigned. The painting depicts a fishing fleet of sailing vessels drawn up against a small quay. There is a rowing boat tied up to a post in a small inlet and a buoy resting next to the water. There are three more boats anchored a short distance offshore.

It is a great pity that we have been unable to distinguish a signature, even with a glass, as this is a lovely painting. We can therefore offer no biographical information about the artist or the location.

The painting has been newly framed in a 2 1/2" gilt frame with pale highlights, that tones with the painting very well. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Condition Very good condition. The surface is clean and there is no paint loss or craquelure. The frame is new.
