We are offering for sale this very well executed landscape oil on canvas, which is indistinctly signed to the lower left hand corner. We can only distinguish the letters gvi, and, so far, have not been able to discover the name of the artist.

The painting depicts a Welsh or Highland scene, with a river meandering its way through a valley beneath some high mountains. There is a small waterfall, where the river is descending from a higher level. Three cattle are watering in the river. The sun is setting, and the peaks of the mountains are tinged pink.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any biographical information about the artist.

The painting has been newly framed in a 3 1/8" - 8cm gilt frame. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Condition Very good condition. The canvas has been relined in the past and is now in very good condition with no craquelure, stretcher marks or paint loss. The frame is new.
