Description

We are offering for sale this 19th Century watercolour of an Italianate archway, which is, unfortunately, unsigned. The painting depicts an ornate stone archway, with a central pillar, underneath which a lady, wearing a hooded cloak over the dress and apron, is feeding some birds. There are three fan-tailed doves being fed, as well as a couple of other birds.

As the painting is unsigned, we can offer no biographical information about the artist, but the painting has been very well executed.

The painting is mounted with wash lines and is framed in a 3/4" wooden and gilded frame. It is ready to hang.
