We are delighted to offer for sale this well executed oil on canvas by the Spanish artist JORGE AGUILAR-AGON, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. The painting depicts a Spanish harbour scene, with a quantity of sailing boats or fishing boats moored at the quay and one departing. There is a figure walking alongside the building to the right. The painting is executed with heavy impasto in parts, as is common with the work of this artist.

JORGE AGUILAR-AGON 1936- is a Spanish landscape and still life artist, predominately in oil, who was born in Barcelona in 1936 and has studios is France, Spain and London. His style is romantic impressionism. He speaks seven languages. After receiving a university education, he mixed in the art circles in Munich and Montmartre in Paris.

He held his first exhibition at the Medici Society in London and since then has had 178 individual exhibitions worldwide, as well as 7 world tours and 114 group exhibitions.
