We are offering this very attractive Marquetry Picture of a Japanese scene. There is a Japanese girl kneeling next to the water, watching a small junk possibly sailing over to the temple and two more junks further out to sea. There is a pagoda to the left and Mount Fuji in th background. The panel appears to have a veneered surround, while the actual picture itself is formed in a quantity of different woods including satinwood which forms the sky.. We are not sure, but it may be Italian.

The picture will be supplied with new brass hangers, new brass picture wire and will be ready to hang.

Medium: Wood veneers

Condition: Very good. There are a couple of indentations in the satinwood of the sky, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
