Description

This is a large and very decorative circular Oriental Embroidery on Silk, in a 1/2 inch lacquered banded frame. It depicts an Oriental Pheasant perched on a branch amid a plethora of different blossoms, including magnolia. We would date it to 1900-1930.

Diameter of Frame: 21" - 53.35cm

Material: Silk

Condition: Very Good. The silk is in very good condition and there are two very faint water marks to the outside edge, but they are barely visible. There are no losses to the thread work and the colours are strong. The frame is in good condition and will be supplied with new brass hangers and new brass picture wire, so it will be ready to hang.
