Description

We are pleased to offer for sale with rather wonderul candelabrum of a vase of flowers in brass and gilt metal on a marble base, which is 19th Century, and probably French. It was originally made to take candles, but has been previously converted to electricity.

The candelabrum features a flared and reeded brass base and a tri-part base in green and white marble above and below a waisted entre of black barble. Upon this sets a vase with fine relief flowers and leaves, with twin handles, with a flared surmount from which emanates the flowers and candle sconces with drips. The flowers are roses, carnations and another open flower with buds an leaves interspersed.

The candelabrum has been rewired and earthed with gold fabric covered braided flex in the antique manner and has a new plug and in line on/off switch. It can take SBC bulbs, but we will include as a gift, the bulbs which were in situ.

Condition: Very good. Some historic restoration to the lower ring of marble, not visible but can just be felt.
