We are pleased to offer for sale this very attractive Victorian Coal, Log or Kindling Bucket that is embossed with a heraldic design, as shown. Ir bears a minor resemblance to the royal coat of arms, but the lion rampant isn't crowned, and the central eagle is incorrect. It may be a recognised coat of arms, but we have been unable to discover it. This bucket would enhance any hearth.

The design of the bucket resembles that of a leather top hat box and has a flared and embossed foot with a lion's mask to front and back. The top rim of the bucket has a rope design and even the substantial handle is decorated.

Width of bucket across top rim: 15 5/8" - 39.75cm

Depth at handle: 11" - 28cm

Interior height: 11 3/8" - 29cm

Material: Brass

Condition: Very good. In very good condition for its age. Only minor wear consistent with use.
