Description

This is a substantial 19th Century Blue & White Porcelain Chinese Jar decorated in the Kangxi taste, later converted into a table lamp. It has a four character mark to the base, as shown. The jar has a brass cover.

The bespoke shade is in Ivory silk and is in the Chinese style.

The lamp has been completely rewired with pale gold fabric covered braided flex and has all new fittings, including a safer switched lampholder, shade carrier and plus. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Diameter of base: 8 1/2" - 21.55

Material: Porcelain

Condition: Very good. There is a very fine hairline crack, which is barely visible, from the top rim as far as the top of the two blue lines at the base of the neck. Other than this it is in very good condition. The shade is new.
