Description

Figural Brass Stick Stand, early 20th century, possibly French, the upright formed as a tree trunk supporting a rifle, a bagged hare hanging from a branch, and a brace of pheasants,together with a brace of smaller birds to the left, the base formed as a grassy glade where a hunting dog reclines. There is a hunting horn hanging just below the ornate, foliate handle and the two arms are also depicted as foliage covered branches, as shown. The piece is unmarked.
