Description

This is a novelty Silver Plated Fire Extingisher Cocktail Shaker, which bears an amusing inscription on the front, which we will give below. The wheel top unscrews to give access to the body and the knurled end of the spout, which contains a filter, also unscrews for pouring, as shown in the photographs.

The Inscription reads:

A similar design cocktail shaker, with a musical box in the bottom section, was produced in the US during prohibition and has been produced in varying styles and in various countries, ever since. Asprey and Co. produced a Fire Extinguisher cocktial shaker in the old slender pyramid style of extinguisher in the 1940s, and is now making them of solid silver for £9.450.00!

Diameter of base: 3 3/8" - 8.55cm

Capacity: 2 pints, but for mixing we suggest 1 - 1 1/2 pints plus ice.

Condition: Very good. The plate is in good condition. There are a few scratches on the base from use.
