We are offering for sale this lovely 1930s English School portrait oil on canvas by an unknown artist. The portrait depicts an elegant and aristocratic looking lady in her late thirties or forties with high cheekbones. She has short, wavy brown hair, brown eyes, is well made up and is wearing a dark brown dress and a double row of beads. Sadly the artist hasn't signed the painting.

As there is no clue to the identity of the artist, we are unable to offer any biographical information on him or her.

The painting is framed in a 3" ornate gilt frame. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Condition: Very good. There is one small repair to the canvas behind the background to the top left hand corner. The frame is in good condition with a little age related wear.
