We are offering for sale this beautifully executed still life oil on canvas laid to board by the artist PAMELA DAVIS, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. The painting depicts a bowl of peonies, some in full blown glory and some in bud. The china bowl is decorated with hellebores. As is usual with her floral paintings, the work is executed with painstaking attention to detail.

PAMELA DAVIS studied for 3 years at Twickenham School of Art and is a retired Member and former Vice President of the Society of Woman Artists and a Member and former Vice President of the Royal Miniature Society. She won the Gold Memorial Bowl of the Royal Miniature Society in 1991. She is a Member of the Hilliard Society. She lived in Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex but more recently in Worthing. She paints in both oils and watercolour and specialises in floral still life, although there are a few landscapes.

The painting is framed in its original 2 1/4" gilt frame. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
