We are offering for sale this unusual Victorian Brass and Enamel Desk Bell, with the rarer side clapper/striker, which folds in for travelling, and a loaded base. The base has a raised designs of leaves and pears, with a pale green enamel section near the raised centre, with a foliate brass overlay. Above the actual bell section, which we think is in bell metal or similar alloy, there is a pointed foliate finial.

Measurements:

Height: 4 3/4" - 12cm

Diameter of base: 3 1/2" - 9cm

Condition: In good original condition and full working order. There is a minimal amount of wear to the outer edge of the enamel, which is barely noticeable and consistent with age and use. The brass could be further polished by the buyer if a highly polished finish is required.
