Pair Porcelain Urns Cherubs Crossed Swords Mark

Description

These are a very pretty pair of small twin handled Campana Urns depicting Cherubs or Putti amongst the clouds. They both bear the crossed swords mark in blue on the bases, as shown, which may denote Meissen and have pierced, footed brass stands. The Cherubs are transfer printed and hand coloured, but they are hand jewelled and the gilt decoration is applied by hand.

Height: 5 7/8" - 14.95cm

Base: 2 1/2" - 6.3cm square

Material: Porcelain

Condition: Very good. There are no chips, cracks or restoration and the jewelling is all present. The gilding is all intact, as they were probably cabinet pieces.
