We are delighted to offer for sale this fine quality, classically elegant, solid brass Victorian Corinthian Column Table Lamp, which was converted in the past from an oil lamp, and stunning shade from the makers who provided the lampshades for Downton Abbey.

The lamp has a solid brass stepped platform base on paw feet feet, rising to a tall square plinth, ornamented with laurel wreaths, upon which is a circular socle, from which emanates a corinthian column, topped with a brass capital.

The shade is in the 'Murano' style and is made in gold sateen with 6" black fringe and gold tassels. The shade is completed with a matching black and gold braid.

The lamp has been newly rewired with gold fabric covered braided flex and has all new fittings, including a safer switched lampholder and shade carrier. As with all electrical items, it is recommended it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Condition: Excellent. The shade is new.
