We are offering for sale this attractive, Brass Standard Lamp and a new shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey, Mr. Selfridge TV series lamphades.

The lamp base stands on four round brass feet below a square base, above which is a baluster section, then the pierced spiral twist section, which is the major feature of this lamp. Please see the photographs which show the base in detail.

The lampshade is in the 'Jasmine' style and is made in cream silk brocade, with the crown in gold. It has cream fringe overland the gold beads and cream braid. This particular shade is on a gimble fitting, not a shade carrier, which means that the height cannot be adjusted.

The standard lamp has been newly rewired in antique gold coloured silk covered braided flex and has all new fittings including a safer switched lampholder.
