We are offering for sale this very attractive Pierced Brass Table Lamp with new shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey and Mr. Selfridge TV series lampshades. The lamp was previously an oil lamp and had been converted to electricity at some stage in the past.

The Table Lamp has four ornate brass feet splaying out from a flared pierced base, above which is a socle, followed by the pierced body, which has four sections each with a scroll and foliate design, each terminating in an upward splayed mask, as shown. The curved top is also pierced.

The shade is in the 'Ballerina' style and is made in a soft duck egg/gold brocade, with vanilla fringe, toning braid and duck egg beaded drops.

The lamp has been completely rewired in antique gold coloured fabric covered braided flex and has all new fittings, including a safer switched lampholder, plug and shade carrier. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Condition: Excellent. The shade is new.
