We are pleased to offer for sale this beautiful French 'Empire' Table Lamp in Brass and Porcelain, which was converted to electricity in the past, with new shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey TV series lampshades.

The lamp has a triform base in brass with a central pineapple, with three slender legs with hairy, cloven hooves, curving upwards and topped with rams heads, holding the deep blue porcelain bowl, decorated on all three sides by a hand painted bouquet of flowers tied with ribbon in gold. The bowl is topped by a pierced brass cap.

The shade is in the 'Dorchester' style, in gold silk damask, navy moire crown, gold fringe and tassels, finished with a toning gold, navy and duck egg braid.

The lamp has been rewired in gold coloured, fabric covered braided flex, safer switched lampholder and all new fittings. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Condition: Very good. The shade is new.
