We are offering this very fine quality Edwardian Silver Plated Walker & Hall Table Lamp & Shade by the makers of the Downton Abbey TV Series lampshades. By the dating process instituted by Walker & Hall, we have dated the lamp to 1903. On the base is embossed in capital letters 'Walker & Hall Sheffield England the number 1762 and Warranted Hard & Silver Soldered' and well as the company logo of a penant and the dated letter below it.

The lamp features an ornate foliate embellished base with four scroll feet, which has an ornate socle, topped with a column surrounded with leaves at the base. At the top of the column there are four splayed out leaves.

The shade, in the 'Vienna' style, is in cream, with cream fringe, topped with grey, cream and silver beads and toning braid. Please note the shade has photographed a little too dark in the last two pictures, the correct colour is in the first picture.

The lamp has been newly rewired with pale silver antique style braided flex and has all new fittings. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be tested by a qualified electrician before use.

Condition: The silver plate is very thick and fine quality and there is no visible wear to the plate. The shade is new.
