Description

We are offering this blue & white transfer printed meat plate or platter in the Wood & Sons Enoch Woods Castles Series of Bodiam Castle in East Sussex, near Robertsbridge. Bodiam is a moated castle and was built in 1385. The plate is part of a series using the drawings of the 19th Century potter Enoch Woods and issued at around the same time as his English Scenery series, which also featured his drawings. The Castles series was issued in the 1920s.

Width: 14" - 35.5cm

Depth: 11 1/4" - 28.5cm

Condition: In mint condition, with no chips, cracks, discolouration or crazing. The only tiny flaw being a small spot missing glaze on the right hand petal of the right hand white flower in the right hand corner of the rim. This is from the manufacture, not damage.
