Description

We are delighted to offer for sale this beautiful pair of Japanese Imari porcelain table lamps, which were, in our opinion, converted from vases circa 1920s, with the addition of the ornate brass bases and matching caps. They bear bespoke shades by the makers of the Downton Abbey TV series lampshades.

The shades are in the 'Dorchester' style, have gold coloured crowns, bodies of terracotta moire silk, soft gold fringe with long terracotta tassels, the whole finished with a matching two-tone braid.

The lamps have been rewired with antique gold coloured fabric covered braided flex, with all new fittings, including safety lampholders. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that they be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

Diameter of shade: 15 1/2" - 39.35cm
