Description

We are offering for sale this very nice early 20th Century Portrait Oil on canvas of a boy in an Eton collar over his dark brown jacket and tie. He has the typically short hair cut of the period, short at the back and over the ears. This portrait came with the recently acquired collection of work by the artist Alfred Hawkins Palmer, but is unsigned. On the stretcher is written Palmer in pencil, but it may be that he painted it, or just owned it, as it may be a family piece or, indeed, a portrait of himself as a boy.

The painting is framed in a 2" swept gilt frame and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
