We are offering for sale this attractive oil painting on canvas by the Midlands artist Michael Scott, who has signed the painting Scott in the lower left hand corner. The painting depicts a distant vista of a small village across the fields, with its church spire dominating the skyline. In the foreground is a somewhat dilapidated and overgrown wooden gate into a field.

Unfortunately we have been unable to discover any biographical details about the artist and, as we have so little details other than his name, cannot even find out when he was born or died, if indeed he has died, as there are so many people with this name. However, we believe that he was resident somewhere in the Midlands.

The painting has been expensively framed in a 3 1/4" swept, gilt frame and slip. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
