We are offering for sale this interesting pair of antique Chinese brass lamp bases, with new silk brocade shades by the makers of the lampshades for the Downton Abbey TV Series.

The brass bases were converted in the past from a pair of Chinese vases, heavily relief decorated with Chinese symbols and have typical oriental wooden bases and wooden caps.

The shades are the Balmoral style and are in duck egg silk brocade, with vanilla fringe, duck egg tassels and are finished with duck egg and cream braid.

The lamps have been rewired in antique gold coloured twisted fabric covered wire and have all new fittings. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that they be checked by a qualified electrician before use.
