We are offering for sale this heavy brass deep bowl Copper and Brass Chamberstick by Townshends Ltd. The bowl has a hammed open star design. The handle holder is brass with a copper drip pan and the handle, which is almost art nouveau in design, is copper, held by brass rivets. The bowl has a rippled edge.The company was known as Townshend & Thompson during the 1880s and was located at Ernest Street, Holloway Head, Birmingham. It became Townshends Ltd from 1890 and they were makers of quality brass and copper art metalware to up-market retailers.
