Description

Edwardian period rare to find travel companion desk set cased in inlayed polish mahogany box
Items include Engagement writing slope , Calendar ,silver pencil, White bone pencil
The writing slope is made of solid slate with silver surround, pencil holder, two pots which are gilt lined and stamp holder with George V stamp, The engagement writing slope wipes clean after use
Both the pencils with led and the silver pencil with full Hallmarks
Desk calendar with silver surround and full hallmarks days of the week slide with button from the back to correspond with the dates of the month
Makers initials and hallmarks on each piece C.E.T for Charles Edwin Turner Vyse Strre Birmingham and Letter N for Birmingham 1912
All the items sit nicely in the case, lovely Mahogany Box
The overhaul condition is still very good and useable today just a piece of backing cover missing on the calendar but this does not effect working the calendar and not seen from the front
Unusual antique item would look great on any desk, i have more photos if you would like to view them
