Description

Mahogany cased with open wooden fretwork, gallery having turn and spire finials at each corner, there is horizontal fluted moulding and somewhat lower dentil moulding just above the glazed and stepped framed dials door. The door is flanked by free standing ringed double colonnetes, dial is unsigned as is the movement and has a small aperture for adjusting the brocot regulation at twelve o’clock, the eight day triple train movement with deadbeat escapement striking hours on a coiled gong and chiming the quarters on a graduated nest of eight bells, consider Swiss or German late 19th century or very early 20th, comes recently serviced and in perfect working order standing 82cm high width 33 cm depth 20 cm.
