A pair of Italian ormolu alter candlesticks

A fabulous pair of late 19th century ormolu candlesticks with acanthus leaves to the stem and cherub masks and three figural portraits to the base which is mounted on three scrolled feet. The sticks have been converted to take electricity but retain the facility to hold a large candle (which are not included). Thought to be either French or ItalianDateLate 19th Century :
