Description

This antique sewing pot with pincushion top is in a sterling silver mount. It is removable, but we believe it to be original to the mount. The mount has a nice fretwork design and is marked on the bottom for Lowe of Chester, with separate hallmarks for London 1911 and the maker's mark S.L. Ltd. The silver mount weighs approx. 2.4ozt (75g). The pot has a hinged pincushion lid.

Condition: Overall in fair condition with some wear and damage consistent with age use. The fabric covering of the pot is badly frayed, grubby and worn. The lid has been re-covered at some point, but this is also frayed, grubby and worn. The silver mount has some wear and tarnishing as might be expected and has a small dent to the base.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
10.5cm diameter.
