Victorian Beech & Elm Farmhouse Kitchen Armchair

Photos

Description

This attractive farmhouse kitchen armchair looks to date from the second half of the nineteenth century. It is constructed from what we believe to be beech and elm with a shaped seat, shaped arms and a turned spindle back. The chair is supported on turned legs with a rounded H-stretcher.

Condition: Overall this attractive chair is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall faded. The joints are solid, but there is some minor movement.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 98cm high, 53cm wide, 60cm deep (to maximums) 41cm high to seat.
