Description

This lovely large oil lamp dates from the late nineteeth century, but has been later converted into an electric lamp. It has a brass corinthian column base, a ribbed clear class reservoir and a brass lamp fitting. Please note that it has no plug and as such would require testing and a plug fitting by a professional electrician prior to use. As it has no plug we have not tested it. There are no maker's marks.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece requires attention by a professional electrician prior to use. It has no plug and has not been tested. There is no shade present. There is some tarnishing, grubbiness and denting to the metal base and the feet do not quite flat, which requires attention. There is some surface corrosion in places.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 70cm high,17.5cm diameter of base (to maximums).
