Description

This lovely antique mirror has a lovely carved wood and gesso frame that looks to date from the first half of the ninteenth century. The mirrored glass is more modern but still has some significant age. It is oval in shape and retains a hanging chain on the back.

Condition: Overall this attractive mirror is in usuable condition but does have some significant wear and damage consistent with age and use. The frame has some chipping, cracking and wear, and there are some losses, including one large piece. The gilt paintwork looks to have been touched up in places and is dulled, rubbed and and worn. The mirrored glass has some minor black flecking and corrosion.

Overall - 70cm by 83cm, 8cm deep (to maximums).
