Description

This lovely three-piece fireside companion set dates from the early-nineteenth century. The tools are made from steel with a nice shape, and the shovel has some lovely fretwork decoration. The set consists of tongs, a shovel and a poker. They are of nice quality. There are no maker's marks.

Condition: Overall in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some tarnishing and grubbiness as might be expected and some surface corrosion in places. One of the rivets in the shovel is a little loose.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Shovel - 73cm long.
