Description

This vintage road sign looks to date from the first half of the twentieth century. It is double-sided and has the same information on both sides. The sign is for the A50, and reads 'Newport Pagnell 2 1/2 Woburn Sands 9'. It is made from cast iron and is very heavy. It retains what is left of its original black and white paintwork.

Condition: The sign has some wear and damage consistent with age and use. There is some damage and loss to the side where it would have been attached to the post. There is some surface corrosion, grubbiness and some significant wear and loss to the paintwork. The paintwork is almost gone completely on one side.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
145cm long, 27cm high, 2cm deep.
