Slades Antiques

Description

This set of eight salvaged fairground boards look to have come from a ride or stall. They are shaped and painted with metal fixings at one end and a wooden raising bar at the other end. We would estimate them to date from the first half of the twentieth century. We have no provenance for them.

Condition: The boards have some wear and damage consistent with age. Some of the metal ends are loose. There is some wood loss and cracking and some signs of dry rot. The paintwork is grubby, chipped and worn.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 107cm by 25.5cm (to maximums).
