Description

This lovely walnut swing mirror dates from c.1850. It has a walnut frame, some solid, some veneered over solid wood. The mirror base has an attractive swept front with three small drawers and a feather-banded veneered top. It is supported on lovely ogee bracket feet. front The mirror itself is rectangular in shape and is adjustable. It has a shaped wooden frame.

Condition: Overall this piece is in good usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use. The mirror frame has some shrinkage cracking. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall faded. There are some marks and staining to the top. There are some signs of restoration and repair. The brass fixings and handles have some tarnishing and pitting. The mirror has some slight corrosion and some small black marks.
