Description

This lovely antique extending dining table dates from c.1860. It is constructed from what we believe to be primarily solid mahogany. The table is rectangular in shape with rounded edges. It retains two leaves, which look to be more modern (and one of which is warped). The table is supported on tapering hexagonal legs terminating in castors.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some scratching and marking to the top and around the edges. The leaves look to be more modern than the table and one is warped. They are also slightly different in colour to the rest of the table. Although this one does fit into the table, it means that the surface of the table is not flush when it is in place. The clips that hold the top in placce are missing but this does not affect its use.

Overall - 73cm high, 126cm wide, 110cm long (without leaves), 207cm long (fully extended) (to maximums).
