Description

This nice Edwardian dressing table dates from around the turn of the twentieth century. It is constructed from mahogany, some solid, some veneered over solid wood, with lovely satinwood and ebony inlays in geometric patterns. The dressing table has a central bevel-edged mirror with a wooden frame. There are small drawers to either side at the back of the top and beneath the top are two drawers with a longer drawer below. The drawers retain their metal handles. The piece is supported on square legs terminating in metal and ceramic castors. The larger drawers retain their locks, but please note that no key is present.

Condition: Overall this piece is in usuable condition but does have some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall faded, heavily so to the work surface. There is some woodworm damage to the back of the mirror - this is not active but has been retreated as a precaution. The metal fixings have some surface corrosion and there are some small dark corrosion marks to the mirrror.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 170cm high, 106cm wide, 50cm deep (to maximums).
