Description

This antique chiffonier dates from the second half of the nineteenth century. It is constructed from mahogany, some solid, some veneered over solid wood. It is of a nice small size. The chiffonier has a single hidden drawer beneath thetop with a two-door cupboard underneath. The cupboard has a single fixed shelf inside. The cupboard retains its lock, but please note that no key is present. The piece is supported on a plinth base.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in usuable condition but does have some wear consistent with age and use, and would benefit from some attention. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall quite heavily faded. There is some marking and scratching to the top and some chipping to the veneer in places. The veneer to the drawer front is lifted (bubbled) in places. The cupboard door is missing its lock and has a tendancy to swing open.
