Description

This decorative bowl looks to date from the mid-twentieth century, but is older in style. We believe it to be silver-plated, although there are plate marks that we can see. There is a maker's mark GD&Co stamped near the rim on the outside, but we have been unable to identify this. The piece looks to be hand-hammered with a pressed design. The bowl is oval in shape and deep. It has a ropework edge and is supported on a pedestal with an oval base.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age. There is some rubbing and wear to the plating in places, especially to the inside of the bowl where the plating is worn away. There is some tarnishing and some surface scratching and wear as might be expected.

25cm high, 35cm wide, 26cm wide.
