Description

This vintage armchair is very much in the Edwardian style and looks to date from the first half of the twentieth century. It has a decorative mahogany show-frame with tramline decoration and scrolled arms. The chair has decorative front legs and slightly splayed plain back legs. It has an over-upholstered seat and back - the upholstery is not original. The underneath of the frame is stamped with the maker JHH.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. The chair is nice and solid with only minimal movement in the joints. The upholstery has no rips or tears but is dated and a little faded. Some of the braiding is loose and the seat is a little sunken. There is some heavier scuffing to the back legs.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 92cm high, 53cm wide, 55cm deep (to maximums) 43cm high to seat.
