Victorian Sterling Silver Buckle with Paste Stones

Description

This lovely antique belt buckle is set with paste stones. It is fully hallmarked on the back for Chester 1900 with the maker's mark for Arthur Johnson Smith. The loop at the back is marked 'German Silver'.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The buckle is grubby and tarnished. The claws are a little misshapen. One of the paste stones is missing one of its claws. The paste stones have some wear and chipping. The hallmarks are a little rubbed.

The approx. measurements are as follows:
7cm by 3cm.
